How to put an image as background on a Huawei Mate 40E
In this guide we show you how to change the wallpaper on your Huawei Mate 40E. You have the option to choose between default wallpapers, both static and animated, or use photos from your gallery to personalize the home and lock screen. Follow our simple steps to give your Mate 40E a new look quickly and to your liking.
You'll need an image or photo that's at least 1080 x 2376 pixels (~402 ppi density), so it will display correctly on the Mate 40E's 6.5 inches, 102.7 cm2 (~89.3% screen-to-body ratio) display.

1- First step:
Access the Huawei Mate 40E settings, it should appear on the home screen, if you can't find it, swipe left or up to find the gear icon. Press to access.
2- Second step:
Scroll down through the settings menu until you find the "Display" section. Tap to access it. This is the section with the icon of a mobile phone screen on a green background.
3- Third step:
Scroll down again through the "Display" menu until you find the "Wallpaper" section. Press to access and start modifying the wallpaper on your Huawei Mate 40E.
4- Fourth step:
A new window will appear with a "Set wallpaper" button, press to continue.
5- Fifth step:
Here you will see the wallpapers you have already used and the system wallpapers, you can choose one of them or create a new one. Tap on the "Gallery" button to choose an image from your Mate 40E's image gallery and use it as your wallpaper.
6- Sixth step:
You will see the image folders on your Huawei Mate 40E, you can choose between using photos taken with the camera, screenshots or images downloaded from the internet. Tap on the folder you prefer.
7- Seventh step:
Select the image or video you want to set as your home screen wallpaper or lock screen wallpaper.
8- Eighth step:
You can adjust the image by zooming or moving it so that it appears in the right place on the home or lock screen. When you're done, tap the "✓" button at the top right of your Huawei Mate 40E.
9- Ninth step:
A message will appear with three options: you can set the image as your lock screen wallpaper, your home screen wallpaper, or both screens. Tap the option you prefer.
