On Samsung Galaxy devices, there is an alternative method to take screenshots without needing to use the buttons or pull down the quick settings or shortcuts bar.
This method is designed for people with disabilities, older adults, or any user looking for a more accessible and comfortable way to use their mobile device.
Once this setting is activated, a floating button will appear on the screen permanently, allowing you to take a screenshot with just two taps.
Estimated time: 1 minutes.
Step 1:
To begin, access the settings of your Samsung Galaxy, it is a gray gear icon that should be on the home screen or by sliding from the bottom up on the main screen.
Step 2:
Scroll all the way down in the settings of your Samsung Galaxy until you find the "Accessibility" section, which is the section with a green icon featuring a human figure inside.
Step 3:
Once you have accessed the "Accessibility" section, you will see a section called "Interaction and Dexterity," which is the section with a green icon featuring a finger making a touch.
Step 4:
When you have accessed the "Interaction and Dexterity" section, you will see a switch in the "Assistant Menu" section. Tap on the switch to activate it and on the section's name itself to open its settings.
Step 5:
In the assistance menu settings, you will see all the available options such as choosing in which applications the contextual menu is displayed, the menu's transparency, its size, and other settings for the touchpad, magnifier, and text size.
Step 6:
Once activated, you will see a semi-transparent circle appear on the screen with four squares inside it; tap to open the assistance menu.
Step 7:
Within the assistance menu, you will see the "Screenshots" icon, tap on this icon and a screenshot will be taken at that very moment.
