Last update: PlayStation
There are times when we would like to be able to record on video what we are seeing on our PlayStation 4 game console and be able to share that video clip on social networks or export it to an external memory to edit it from a PC or mobile device.
Whether it is an achievement achieved by playing a video game, a glitch (failure) that we have detected, a curiosity that we have found or some hidden object that we want to share or keep for later reference, we can save in a high-quality video what we see in the screen of our television.
There are certain screens in which it is not allowed to take video captures of the screen, for example in the screens where personal data, passwords, etc. are displayed or entered. You may also not be able to videotape certain applications, videos, or video games for copyright reasons. In those cases, a message is displayed at the beginning and end of the section where the video screen cannot be recorded indicating this impediment.
By default, the PlayStation 4 automatically saves the last 15 minutes of what is shown on the screen in video and deletes them if we do nothing, so by following the steps indicated in this tutorial we will be able to access these last 15 minutes of game, if you want to record on video or share a complete game from a certain moment, you must press the "SHARE" button on the controller twice in a row.
