Snapchat won't open on my phone
If you have recently installed Snapchat on your phone or you already had it installed and you cannot open it, here are a series of steps that you can try, if one step does not work, go to the next and so on:
- Close the app: Open recent apps and swipe up to close Snapchat, open it again to check if it works.
- Restart the phone.
- Uninstall Snapchat and reinstall it.
- If your phone is Android, clear the Snapchat cache, here are instructions to do so.
I can't log in to Snapchat
- Update the application from the application store (Google Play or App Store).
- Check that the username and password are correct, try logging in on a computer or another device. If you do not remember your password, click on “Have you forgotten your password?” and set a new password.
- If you are using a VPN service, because Snapchat is restricted in your country or region or for security reasons, try disconnecting the VPN or using another VPN service.
I can't load stories or activities
This may be due to connection problems, poor signal, or technical problems with the Snapchat platform itself. Check that you have a good WiFi or mobile data signal.
Snapchat hangs or is very slow
If the application hangs, close the app, check for updates and check if you have free storage space on your phone, if not you should free up space.
You should keep in mind that older devices may have problems running Snapchat smoothly, filters require more and more power and RAM so you may not be able to improve your Snapchat experience until you switch to a new device.

Can screenshots be blocked on Snapchat?
No. Users who view your profile, Snaps, stories, chats, or any content you upload to the app will be able to take screenshots. You will receive a notification if someone has taken a screenshot of your profile but you will not be able to prevent it.
For this reason Snapchat recommends using common sense and not uploading content that you do not want to be copied and shared.
