If your CCIT A5 does not turn on, it does not react, it shows an error message when it turns on or you want to sell it, give it away or take it in for repair and you want to make sure that all the content stored in its internal memory is erased, you will have to force its restoration.
Forcing the restore or doing a “hard reset” is a drastic method that can be used when the A5 settings cannot be accessed either because the password has been forgotten or the operating system is corrupted.
If you can access the settings of your A5 and want to perform a restore, it is preferable to do so using the “Reset” method, otherwise continue reading to see step by step how to force the reset, format or do a “hard reset”.
This procedure erases all the content stored on the A5 so if possible, you should make a backup copy of your data before proceeding and unlink the Google account.

In case you can't perform a factory reset by accessing the Android recovery menu using the CCIT A5's buttons, or if you can't access all of its functions, you can access this mode using a computer and a cable.
1- First step:
Download and install "ADB" on your computer. You can search Google for "adb download" or use the following download link from Google's official website:
https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
ADB, or "Android Debug Bridge," is a command-line tool that enables communication between a computer and an Android device. It's part of the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) and provides a bridge for managing the device or its content.
2- Second step:
Extract the folder to a location on your hard drive. To extract the files, right-click the .zip file and click "Extract all." A window will appear where you can choose the location on your hard drive to extract the files.
3- Third step:
Connect the CCIT A5 via USB to your computer, preferably with its original cable. Otherwise, any cable that allows data transmission should work.

4- Fourth step:
Open a terminal (CMD or PowerShell) in the folder where you extracted the adb files. You can find the "adb" folder inside the "platform-tools" folder.
Right-click and click "Open in Terminal".
5- Fifth step:
Type: adb devices
in the terminal, as shown in the following image. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
6- Sixth step:
If the A5 appears under the text "List of devices attached", type in the terminal: adb reboot recovery
.
7- Seventh step:
If it doesn't appear, try another cable. If it appears as "unauthorized," you must authorize USB debugging from the device. Check the A5 screen and tap "Allow."
8- Eighth step:
The A5 will enter recovery mode. From there, you can perform a wipe data/factory reset using the volume and power buttons, as described in the "Hard reset using the buttons" procedure.
