How to connect Apple AirPods (2 gen) Bluetooth headphones

In order to use your AirPods (2 gen) headphones you will need to connect them to a device that plays music or sound via Bluetooth, be it a TV, mobile phone, tablet, computer or music player.

Once connected or paired it will not be necessary to reconnect the Apple AirPods (2 gen) headphones to the player device again as they will be saved in its memory, provided they are not unpaired of course.

Connecting the AirPods (2 gen) bluetooth headphones to a device can be a bit complicated if it is the first time, but in the following tutorial we will provide you with step-by-step instructions to make it easier.

Estimated time: 5 minutes.

1- First step:

Open the settings of your phone, tablet, stereo, laptop or computer to which you want to link or pair the Apple AirPods (2 gen).

2- Second step:

Go to the Bluetooth settings and make sure it is enabled. If it's not, turn it on. Keep the Bluetooth settings open, as you'll need them later.

3- Third step:

Place the Apple AirPods (2 gen) in their charging case and open the lid.

4- Fourth step:

Press and hold the setup button on the back of Apple AirPods (2 gen) until a white light on the case flashes. If the flashing light changes between white and orange, please close the lid of the charging box and open the lid again. Press and hold the setup or pairing button on the back again.

5- Fifth step:

On your phone, tablet, stereo, laptop or computer, the name 'Apple AirPods (2 gen)' will appear in the Bluetooth settings. If it doesn't, refresh the list of available Bluetooth devices.

6- Sixth step:

Click on the name 'Apple AirPods (2 gen)' to pair them. You will hear a sound in the headphones indicating that they have been successfully paired.

You can now start enjoying music, audio and movies through your Apple AirPods (2 gen). If it didn’t work, try again; sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right amount of seconds to hold the power button.

If the AirPods (2 gen) still won’t pair, check if they were previously paired. If so, their name will appear in the list of paired devices. Tap on their name and select "Forget", "Remove Device" or the trash icon.
